Only hours to go before the new year arrives.  All of us here at Alexander’s Ark are sending out a big ole hug to you and your critter family … hoping that you get to enjoy a new year of love and laughter together.

As for us … we will all snuggle close tonight and be grateful that our little unorthodox family made it through 2017 as a unit.   I wish I had great wisdom and witty words to mark the end of this somewhat sad and challenging year, but I don’t.  What I can give is the assurance that dogs are generous in their dedication to their people, that they make you laugh enough that the crummy parts are manageable, that being in the presence of dogs (and even cats) makes us better humans.  I am grateful for each and every one of them.

Emma and Katie have a head start on the snuggles!  I think it is time for me to follow suit.  Sweet dreams, my dears … and Happy, Happy New Year to all.
